Sam is a professional writer of fiction and non-fiction. Her work covers everything from national print and radio ad campaigns to blurbs for commercial non-fiction titles and paperback bestsellers [Wilbur Smith, Stephen Hawking].
She has ghostwritten a Sunday Times bestselling celebrity memoir, created a guidebook to the multiple-award-winning Wolf Hall books [4th Estate], and has written four of her own novels [HarperCollins, Hodder Headline]. She has interviewed Pulitzer Prize-winning authors, copyedited art books, cookery books and major industry handbooks, and has run corporate copywriting workshops and creative writing sessions in schools. She has written full copy for global websites, large charity comms, and social media games. She’s written business and management eBooks and a non-fiction text for a guide to nun’s habits! Her writing has appeared in VICE Magazine, The Guardian, and Harper’s Bazaar and she won the Orange Short Story Prize in 2005. Sam is a river swimming enthusiast.
