Paul Dicken

Paul Dicken; Ghostwriter, Author, Speechwriter, Philosopher

Paul DickenPaul’s background is in the history and philosophy of science, and he writes about the social and political implications of new technology for magazines such as The Los Angeles Review of Books, The New Criterion, Law and Liberty, The American Conservative, City Journal, and The New Atlantis. Paul has a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge and has held research and teaching positions in the UK, Germany and Australia. In his work, Paul likes to compare developments in science with those in art, literature and popular culture in order to illustrate their broader philosophical context. He is the published author of several academic books of philosophy, and the popular Getting Science Wrong (Bloomsbury) — which offers a humorous look at some of the mistaken assumptions often made about the history of science, and the problems they can create for contemporary debate.

Paul is an established ghostwriter who has successfully worked on a range of projects, usually with a focus on those with a more philosophical angle. His clients include pioneering business leaders. His fiction novel is a surrealist murder mystery influenced by the works of Poe and Lovecraft.
