Dr. lgc jcJames Crossley is a university professor working in the overlapping areas of history, politics, literature, and the critical study of religion. He has been publishing non-fiction consistently for 24 years which includes major research books, such as Spectres of John Ball, and Jesus: A Life in Class Conflict.

James is the Academic Director of the Centre for the Critical Study of Apocalyptic and Millenarian Movements (CenSAMM) and Professor of Bible and Society at MF Oslo. He was previously Professor of Bible, Culture, and Politics at the University of Sheffield and St Mary’s University. James has written scholarly, and popular articles, and has written for an extensive open-access dictionary for students, teachers and journalists. He has supervised or examined 50 PhD theses, including helping students with significant revisions and has edited a major, international scholarly journal for 10 years. He has also worked as senior lecturer and lecturer. James is a writer, editor, supervisor, professional academic, submissions editor, senior lecturer and lecturer.
